I just turned 38 and I am ready to die | Dr. Dinesh Palipana OAM
About Dinesh
Dr. Dinesh Palipana OAM, who is also known as ‘The happiest man in the world’ is a doctor, lawyer and a disability advocate who was the first quadriplegic medical intern in Queensland and the second person to graduate medical school with quadriplegia in Australia.
As a result of his injury and experiences, Dinesh has become a researcher in spinal cord injury and has been an advocate for inclusion. He is a founding member of Doctors with Disabilities Australia, advisor to the Disability Royal Commission and a doctor for the Gold Coast Titans physical disability rugby team.
There is so much more that we could list but Dinesh was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia in 2019 and Queensland Australian of the Year in 2021. More than anything, he is a true advocate and champion for all dreamers as he signifies what it means for dreams to come true.
We were very pleased to have had Dr Dinesh take time out even while he was on call, hence why he shared his inspiring story with all the dreamers while in his scrubs.
